County Government Center School Tours
Description
The County Government Center School Tour offers 4th grade elementary school
students the opportunity to visit the Salt Lake County Government Center and
learn first hand about various government functions. The program augments
the students' classroom studies and introduces them to elected officials and
workers who provide services affecting their daily lives.

Volunteer Opportunities
Tour Guide Guides school groups around the County Government
Center as they visit various administrative offices.
Volunteer Requirements
Tour guide volunteer must be able to navigate and move around the Government
Center without difficulty. The buildings are wheelchair accessible.
Training and Support
Familiarity with the County Government Center, or prior knowledge of government
functions and officials are not required because training and study materials
will be provided by program staff.
