Legacy Corps

Description: Answer the President's call to service and join this year long opportunity. Legacy Corps is a program in Salt Lake County to assist families caring for an elderly relative. Individuals will be providing respite care to families within Salt Lake County. Join Legacy Corps today and make a difference.

Volunteer Opportunities/Service Commitment: Serve 12-14 hours a week/450 hours a year 

Member Requirements:
We need individuals age 50 and older to serve. Members serve for one year beginning on April 1  

Training & Support: Individuals will receive a $2,200 living allowance, mileage reimbursement and an education award of $1,250 that can be used at any institution of higher education and is good for up to seven years after service.  450 hours must be completed to receive education award. 

There will be a training held the first week and a half in April which is considered part of the 450 hour annual commitment.
